The Beard/Moustache Experiment

Hey there, Just letting all those back home know that I've been undertaking a personal facial hair experiment. I know I don't really have enough facial hair for a beard or moustache, but since not many Korean guys that I've seen also don't, I figured I would give it a shot. Here are the results thus far.

After One Week: Pic 1 at Green Gecko in Soeul.
(Note: I was severely made fun of for my choice of shot....rightfully so!)

Pic 2: Finally able to drink real Canadian beer.

After Two Weeks: Sexy model face, Iksan Soju Bar last night
Warning: The next pictures are up close and personal

The Moustache: that's the dream right there...
unfortunately I'll probably have to wait a few years before it fully develops.
If Chuck Norris ever saw this stache, he'd probably kick it off my face and call me a disgrace.

The Throatee: A condensed area around the adam's apple.
The strongest link in the facial hair chain.

I'm very surprised my boss hasn't asked me to shave yet.
This picture is proof that I really should brush the dust off the razor.

Initially, this was meant to be a two week experiment, but I figure that with my vacation to Cam/Nam comin up soon that I might as well let it go till then. I don't wanna have to shave there and know if the outlets are the same. So I probably won't shave for close to another month, this should be very interesting I think, because it's already getting a bit ridiculous. The kids are amazed by which I find fun and another reason to keep on truckin. I'll post some more results next week and keep everyone posted. Hope things are goin good, and that I talk to some of ya's soon. Taker ez!

    Hey Trev,
Glad to see some of your Dad show up. He doesn't look good hairy either (hahaha). Nice toe, don't you use a hockey stick? I haven't checked your blog for awhile - BAD AUNTIE! - sorry. Busy with Christmas and Chrissi. She's getting big. Finally surpassed her Dad's belly (LOL). He's on his way to better fitness for sure now. He now has to lose cuz now he has Type II Diabetes. Like I need more stress in my life! You both look good. Stay well, we miss you, but boy time sure flies! Kinda scary.
    Love Auntie Gail

The beard/stache doesn't look good? Well I'll post some more pictures of it, maybe it'll look better after 1 month of growth. Crazy to hear about Uncle Steve, I hope everything's alright. We've been excercising lots, because of the Tae Kwon Do I know why I never did it before...it is hard. Hopefully were all fit, and healthy come August when we get home. Take care of Uncle Steve, Chrissi, and yourself. TTYS Trev

    Hey Trevor!
Thought of you and Julie in my Poli Sci class the other day. We watched a couple videos about South Korea and North Korea before the final exam. Very interesting stuff...and I recognized some of the buildings from your pictures!
I'm glad things are going well (minus the toe incident) and that you've gotten/are getting to do lots of travelling! Good luck with your crazy classes and your upcoming Tae Kwon Do tests!! Let's hope I don't freeze to death in a couple of days when I go back to Canada...
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
    - Dre :)
P.s Just a heads up, your beard surpasses Kev's attempt at growing one while he was in Saudi Arabia. Way less splotchy. haha

    Hey Wally,
Thanks for the encouragement and support, I think positive comments like that help the facial hair grow. I wanna get some more pics on of it before I go away but I've been have'n trouble puttin pics up. Hopefully a christmas miracle will happen and I'll be able to solve a computer problem.

    Thanks Dre,

As stated in the previous comment postive comments about the beard help it flourish. So we thank you. Yeah the whole North and South thing is pretty crazy. We got to watch some nice propaganda videos when we went to the DMZ where they were talking about reunification. Both sides want it but I don't see how it could happen. Another fun thing was how this video talked about the DMZ as a Nature reserve because no one goes in there, but neglect to mention the landmines. All good nature reserves should have landmines. Thanks for the post and have a Merry X-Mas.

    Trev
